jkeaton Posted September 11, 2015 Report Share Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) Welcome to the forum. What was the actual code? It's probably the intake manifold tuning valve. Common problem on the 2.4. Had the same thing happen to our 2009. It's either the solenoid or the valve itself. On ours it was the solenoid. Luckily we had an extended warranty which covered the repair. They replaced the solenoid and it fixed it. If it's the valve itself, it's a lot more expensive because they have to replace the whole intake manifold. It's not repairable. You're going to have to take it to a dealer or shop to have it properly diagnosed. This is assuming you have the 2.4 since you don't state what year or engine.
