Kech
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't this come standard on the SXT model? I just purchased a 2015 Journey SXT in July and only now just noticed that the passenger seat doesn't fold flat or have the cubby hole storage. Please confirm... dhh3
I have the cubby, but never had a reason to fold the seat flat. I have no idea if it does, I used it all the time in my Nitro!
bigtsr
It's an interior package upgrade for the SXT in Canada. dhh3
Kech
It's an interior package upgrade for the SXT in Canada. So does that mean I'm SH*T OUT OF LUCK? It's too bad because I got a lot of use with that seat down hauling long objects in my previous 2010 DJ. dhh3
B4ZINGA
It's optional. I'm glad I have it, thought I wish the second row headrests weren't so tall, or folded down as well. Kinda of annoying having to recline the front seats forward each time I want to fold the second row down. dhh3
2late4u
just take your headrest off the second row seats, did mine the first day i had it.they have a 2 buttons at the base and then just yank them up they will come out....have them sitting in the closet along side the rear cover that i don't use.. Woah322
I didn't even know the first row seat storage was optional, just assumed it was standard on all models Kech and dhh3

QuarterSwede
I didn't even know the first row seat storage was optional, just assumed it was standard on all modelsSame. I was a bit miffed, I'll admit, when I figured out it didn't have it. Though the well is there taking up space underneath still. However passenger seat folds flat.[Edit] I have found mine does, indeed, have the seat that flips up and the storage bin! I had worked on the speakers and lost a bit to the bin that was sliding back and forth while driving. I was poking around the forum and found that the fabric latch pull is often tucked in and how to unlatch it from the back of the seat. I went under there and flipped the latch open. The seat opened right up! This year is starting out right!! Sorry OP. Looks like you'd have to change the seat out after all.
