sepheronx
Got this issue since picking up my dodge. Journey, SXT, 2011 v6 3.6L, 96,000 KM. Had issue here and there since 80,000 km. Pretty much, sometimes when starting the car, it starts somewhat rough (louder than normal) and the check engine light appears and the anti slip function will show as off (cannot turn it on then). And the vehicle cannot accelerate past 50km/h when this happens. I fix the issue by stopping, shutting engine off, and starting it back on. Check engine light appears still but drives fine. Anyone else experienced this issue? Edited September 26, 2015 by sepheronx dhh3
bigtsr
Welcome to the forum. First time I have seen this posted. When were the brakes/rotors/pads last replaced? dhh3
sepheronx
Welcome to the forum. First time I have seen this posted. When were the brakes/rotors/pads last replaced? Since I got it? Never. I purchased it 2 years ago when it was 60,000+ KM. dhh3
redtomatoman
Sounds like an intermittent O2 sensor or some other sensor issue to me. Why not have the check engine like analyzed? It may be a very simple fix. Peace. jkeaton and dhh3
jkeaton
Get the code read. Your car is telling you what's wrong. Post the code here if you need help. dhh3 and OhareFred
sepheronx
I have it written down when I had to take the car in for repairs due to someone backing into me when trying to do a U-Turn in the middle of the road. I will get it and tell you guys when I find it. dhh3
bigtsr
I asked about the brakes because It occurred to me that a wheel may be hanging up. A 02 sensor also sounds plausible. dhh3
dhh3
I agree with the O2 sensor
jkeaton
Get yourself a code reader. Cheap insurance. Pays for itself the first time you use it.
