shrek
Ok, maybe next time :P What's the problem? Missing software? jkeaton and dhh3
bramfrank
Actually, there's no motor in the base to fold the mirror. jkeaton
jkeaton
It is mechanically impossible. Unless you install the hardware from another vehicle and figure out the wiring. Edited November 1, 2015 by jkeaton dhh3
shrek
Oh, sorry...I didn't know DJs don't have that. I have just bought a 2015 Fiat Freemont 3.6 V6 and it has a button for folding them (my presumption was that it comes from Dodge). Would it be possible to learn it? dhh3
bigtsr
European export models have different features and capabilities than their NA counterparts , marketing and different standards. jkeaton and dhh3
dhh3
The US mirrors have detents that hold them open. Any motor would have to overcome the detent, in order for it to fold in. jkeaton
shrek
European export models have different features and capabilities than their NA counterparts , marketing and different standards. Is it possible to find a list of those? Just out of curiosity... dhh3
bramfrank
Have you asked the dealer about this? Usually if there's a button, it's because there's something tied to it.
dhh3
It is practically impossible to obtain parts for the export models in the US. The only way to obtain them would be to find someone in another country willing to buy the parts and ship them to you. The parts may even be made in the US but you will not be able to purchase them from a US Dealer. Edited November 2, 2015 by dhh3
bigtsr
I would think that the easiest way to obtain a list of what features are availiable in your country would be to go to a dealer and ask for it. dhh3 and jkeaton
shrek
Have you asked the dealer about this? Usually if there's a button, it's because there's something tied to it. I will go to the dealer soon, to have the car check by the diagnostics...and I know how they work, I was just wondering if it is possible to learn them to fold by them selves when you lock the car. I would think that the easiest way to obtain a list of what features are availiable in your country would be to go to a dealer and ask for it. I know what features are available here. I was referring to a list of certain differences - like for example my Freemont is not flexifuel capable - even though the whole engine is the same like in DJ (except for the software).
