Gwylln
I recently purchased a used Journey. The dvd player works, but has no sound. The message says "audio is tuned to radio, press the r/l button." Where do I find this button, please? dhh3
jkeaton
Welcome to the forum. Someone will chime in for sure. I assume you have checked your owners manual? dhh3
dhh3
Welcome to the forum. Is the dvd player in the radio or in the back? If it's in the back, the button may be on that unit.
Gwylln
It isn't on the unit. There is a button with a speaker icon on it. I push that, and receive this "R/L" message on the screen. I have looked at the Owner's Manual, and found nothing to help me there, either. dhh3
Weird. Take it back to the dealer, if you just got it. Let them figure it out. Then, post back what the problem was. I'm curious to know.
Gwylln
Unfortunately, the answer was simple, and not at all what I wanted to hear. The dvd player is one of those that only plays through headphones, which - of cource - are also not with the vehicle. They are not replaceable, (at least not easily) because the player is an after-factory addition. Disappointed.

If it's aftermarket, dealer won't help you. Hindsight is 20-20, but always check accessories out before purchasing a used vehicle. Sorry you are disappointed but this is not the fault if the dealer or the vehicle.
