Brad Hillis Posted January 6, 2016 Report Share Posted January 6, 2016 Just wounding if anyone has done this yet, I've been looking to get into the subject, I have remap files for another car I own and got a huge performance boost, better shifting, and disabled the speed limiter (its a smart car, was limited to 82 mph). Brad Hillis Posted January 7, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 7, 2016 I may just plug in, try downloading the current map if I'm even able to, I do know the newer cars no longer have that level of access to the ECU through the OBD2 port, and require special tools to open and directly connect to the EEROM in the ECU. vozaday Posted January 7, 2016 Report Share Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) The term Remapping seems to be more of a European one. But nonetheless I am intrigued. Please keep us informed as I would also be interested. Is that a chipset that can be removed? Only vehicle I can think of that would be like that is the BMW's.
