OhareFred
If the fob was that cold maybe it messed with the battery? Cold battery, less power, short range on the transmitter? dhh3 and jkeaton
Blackout
I just tried it now and it seems to be working Unlocking and Locking the Doors Vehicle is parked inside the garage at home and the keys sitting on the table in a warm area so no clue if the cold did it or not. Strange dhh3
jkeaton
Easy enough to confirm if you can recreate the condition but this time use a warm FOB. dhh3
bramfrank
Your battery in the FOB may be starting to age. They're inexpensive and simple to replace. Do NOT by no-name batteries; Stick to names you know.

jkeaton
One of our remotes is still on the original battery. The other I've had to replace once since 2013. dhh3

For our cold climate I'd recommend you spend a few extra bucks and get lithium ion 2032 batteries. I found them at Wal-mart in the electronics dept. Aloha. Blackout
Thanks hockey_puck Replaced the battery in the fob today because it gave me the low battery notification. I went to buy the lithium ion ones you were telling me about. Swapped both sets just to play it safe Thanks for the advice. jkeaton and hockey_puck
