Steve_T
Are the Khumo's just an American thing? Or are my factory Toyo's just an R/T thing? I don't find them bad at all, even in snow. dhh3
jkeaton
I think it all depends on whoever gets the tire contract. Our first DJ had uniroyals on it from the factory. Edited March 2, 2016 by jkeaton dhh3

jkeaton
anyone ever use discount tire off the internet or tire rack ? should you get the warranty thru them looks like a pain if you had to return one. I chose my tires off the discount tire website, but then I actually go there to see them in person before I buy. Discount tire has been very good to me. Probably because I have bought tires from them for all my various vehicles for about 15 years now. They usually give me the tire warranty free or at a heavily discounted rate. Steve_T
For anyone in Canada, eastern Ontario, I highly recommend quattrotires (online tire sales) Excellent prices, good selection of tires, very quick delivery. Last March I ordered 4 General Grabbers for my Jeep, they were the cheapest I could find. I placed my order on a Wednesday, and they were delivered by 1pm Friday that same week. When I checked the date stamp on each tire (I was concerned they may have been selling old stock) three of them were manufactured in January, one in December the previous year. I ordered a fifth for my spare a month later, and received great service again. Did I mention it was also free shipping? I will be using them again when I purchase a set of snow tires for the Journey, I just have to decide on wheels, as I do mot want steelies. They're located in St.Jerome, QC, near our family cottage. jkeaton and Cody Chornobey Powley

2late4u
nope you have to return them to discount tire if they want you to return them,at least that's what they told me yesterday. i ordered a set of cooper cs5 ultra touring 235-55-19 fri nite with the $70. rebate from cooper and $30. rebate for using their credit card and the $40, instant discount got them for $620. without the warranty and will rec the 70+30 rebate in a visa cash card making total cost of $520 will have walmart mount and lifetime balance and rotation for $14. per tire so total $56. +$520=$576. and i have 30 days to buy the warranty from discount they want about $20. per tire for it. I Got to looking if you are buying thru them look for specials during the holidays if i had bought last month during their president day specials would have saved about another $65. oh well should get the tires in about 3 days they say hope everything goes okay......also with the size tires i got will throw my speedo off about 1 mph, slightly bigger tire than the org. tire Edited June 17, 2016 by jkeaton jkeaton
2late4u
well i rec my tires this morning and loaded them up and off to walmart to have them mounted and balance so final cost $582. after all rebates come in not bad for this size tire 235-55-19 , speedo should be off about .9 mph according to a tire calculator, hooked up my garmin and was 1 mph faster then the speedo.. Was wondering if the evic mpg would be affected with the bigger tires, cant imagine it would be off much if it is? Nice to be be on good rubber again time to go on a casino trip, also just turned 36k Edited March 10, 2016 by 2late4u jkeaton
Blackout
Hey Guys, Hows it going hope everyone is doing well I have a question not sure if it stupid or not but im really having a hard time deciding if I should stick with a 225/55/19 tire or go with a 235/55/19 Tire Going with 235/55/19 will it affect the R/T Suspension? Mess up the speedometer? Fuel Mileage Etc? I looked @ Pirelli Scorpion Verde Plus All Season Tire 235/55/19 & the Michelin Defender 235/55/19 If I went with a 235 tire which one would you guys suggest to get? I like quiet / good handling / and good tire threads/ If I stick with a 225/55/19 tire what tire would you guys suggest for that? I dont want Khumos they wear to fast Let me know I appreciate it! 2late4u
i just put on a set of cooper 235 55 19 on my crossroad got them thur discount tire direct got a great price and so far i really like them. this size will offset your speedo by.9 of a mile so speedo saying 70 you are doing 71 mph. no problem with the suspension was afraid of going with the bigger size 255 50 19 but some on here say they are no problem. see my previous post for more detail...they are quiet riding and rated 60k for about $560. cant beat their price also i checked the date when they were made and the numbers say the 6 week of 2016.....sticking with the org. size you dont get much choices of tire makers...
