fjpod
Can this feature be deactivated? I find it annoying (and unnecessary) to have my headlights go on when I lock and unlock the car from the keyfob. So far I wasted 10 minutes on the phone with my salesman, and he couldn't tell me if it could be done.
Sam
I think it can only be done with the EVIC (R/T model)... unfortunatly!
OhareFred
I think it can only be done with the EVIC (R/T model)... unfortunatly! R/T has nothing to do with it. You must have the advanced dashboard to make these changes. I have an R/T and can"t make any changes like that. If you can see each tire pressure, then you have the advanced dashboard (EVIC). fjpod
I am hoping there is a way by pushing some combination of buttons on the keyfob. The owner's manual shows you how to deactivate the horn when you lock the car, but I haven't been able to find out anything about the headlights. In Canada, EVIC is standard equipment in the R/T (the website still say so)... sorry for the confusion if it is not like this in your country. I also tried with the keyfob, but I didn't find a trick... maybe there is not!

If you leave your headlight to OFF position , nothing will happen if you lock / unlock with the keyfob. ill check if there is a way to deactivate this while in the automatic mode. Not totally right, but not totally wrong. The headlights always come on when you unlock the doors, automatic mode or not. But, when you stop the car (and the headlights were on) and you are on the automatic mode, they will stay on 90 sec., but if you're not on the automatic mode, they will turn off. fjpod
As an update to my OP, I have found that as long as you turn the headlights off before you turn off the ignition, the headlights will not turn on ifyou lock with the keyfob. But no matter what I do, they do turn on when I unlock with the keyfob. Still looking for a fix for this.
