Windancer
I also have the vertical type hitch, and was wondering if the slop between the hitch and receiver was normal. If it is any consolation to you, I too have a little 'slop' when I use the OEM vertical receiver hitch on my 2010 R/T. So far no problems, I have only towed my boat 3 times though. I haven' tried any shims etc. Let us know if you come up with a solution. Terry

riashaw
hi guys! so i have just had this hitch installed on my 2012 journey. is the hitch pin hole supposed to be in a weird spot or did i get a defective part??? i will do my best to explain the "situation" if i lay down under the journey and look up, there are the two bars that go side to side horizontally and bolt to the frame, and in the center is the vertical reciever part (typical). BUT there are no holes on the outside, to insert a hitch pin. if i look up inside the vertical part i can see 2 holes, and the 2 holes are inside the horizontal part. so how do i put a hitch pin in? or is this not how it is supposed to be?
