Cassandrarosee92
Hey, New here! We bought a used 2012 dodge journey sxt. When we bought it, it had 100,000 km. Last month, we lost control of the car.. Couldnt accelerate at all and made funny noises. Had it towed to mister transmission and they had to rebuild our tranny.. Last week we has something along the same issue and turns out the torque converter went.. Today our check engine light came on again.. We pulled a code previously for cylinder number 4 misfiring. I read about rhe engine lifhr blinming so many times to let you know which cylinder js misfiring... But ours is constant.. Doesnt blink... Does anyone know what we need to replace this? My uncles mechanic away for the weekend.. All i ned to do is buy parta so he can fix it. Does anyone else encounter the same issues?
Journeyman425
Which engine? If you have the 3.6 V6. the left cylinder head might require replacement. There is a warranty extension on the left cylinder head should it require replacement. I'll need the last eight digits of your VIN and the mileage/kilometers and I can check coverage for you. dhh3 and jkeaton

dhh3
Why would anyone rebuild a transmission and not even check out the torque converter? Something is not quite right here. OhareFred and jkeaton
Cassandrarosee92
Journeyman its no lo ver under warranty. Ive already looked into that. Its a 3.6 Dhh3 the tourque converter was conpletely replaced when they rebuilt our transmission. They are saying it was a faulty part the second time we had it in when they had to replace the tourque converter again. dhh3
jkeaton
The warranty is an extension. dhh3

In the United States the warranty on the left cylinder head is 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Are you sure it's out? It's no trouble for me to check. dhh3 and jkeaton
