Mpittman
We just bought a 2016 DJ Crossroad Plus. It has the 8.4 uconnect system. My iPhone 6 doesn't appear to be compatible with the Text messaging feature. What phones will this work with? Animal Mother

dhh3
Uconnect only supports up to iOS 7.1 POS, IMHO. I want my RBZ MyGig back.
Medabum
LG G3 does not work here. Wish it did as the voice recognition for everything else works pretty well. dhh3
dhh3
My iPhone6s works as it should, phone-wise. That's it. Same as my 2006 Jeep Commander! Animal Mother
bramfrank
This topic is only about messaging support on the DJ infotainment system. Animal Mother
dhh3
MY POSTS HAVE BEEN ABOUT TEXTING. I DOESN'T WORK. MY PHONE IN MY DJ WORKS JUST LIKE MY PHONE IN MY COMMANDER, 10 YEARS AGO. NO TEXTING. Animal Mother

bramfrank
If you really want text message support maybe you should consider getting a different phone . . . . . when the 6P I bought turned out not to support the feature, I went back to my carrier and got an S7. The S7 was more expensive than the 6P but they ate the difference and now my message button is lit.
bramfrank
It's actually neat - the system reads the message to you. You can respond with a canned message - if your phone can handle it you can also dictate a reply. larryl
dhh3
Since I can't text and drive, maybe I could text and fly a Tomcat. No going back to any Android Phone, ever. Too much crap preloaded, constantly begging for upgrades. And, with its open platform, phone manufacturers are at freedom to add any crap they so choose to pick. Texting while driving is not high on my priority list. I don't believe I was even thinking about texting when I purchased my DJ. When Uconnect finally decides to get their collective heads out of the a**s, maybe they will move into the present and upgrade to iOS9.3.1! Mrgixxer6
Just add Apple car play and we will be happy... dhh3
bramfrank
The best you can hope for is that they integrate the 8.2A system into the vehicle before the redesign, but they are not at all likely to do any major changes to the current system. dhh3
Possibly the new radios can be installed if we want to pay out the big bucks. But, not high on my priority list. Animal Mother
Melissa927
My 2016 doesn't appear to have the ability to do the voice recognition for texting. Am I missing something? I had a 2015 Jeep that had the feature, and I loved it. I was very disappointed to find out that the DJ can't.
