Devastor420
First time tow'er . I am looking into buying a boat , but first I would like to find out if my 2011 dj v6 can do the job? jkeaton
Check the door sticker for max tow rating. IIRC the V6 is 2500 lbs. So, you need to find a boat that is within the allowable weight range for towing. Welcome to the forum. Dusty256
look at your owners manual for max tow weight . brakes in good order ... size of boat physical matters too as wind drags will put more of a load. dhh3 and jkeaton
dhh3
Welcome. As stated, 2500 max if you have the Trailer Tow Group. This number steadily decreases as you add passengers and luggage. Hankster
A boat is a hole in the water that you throw money into. Hank Trains123, dhh3 and jkeaton

jeffhoward001
Something else to think about is how far your towing the boat. If most of your towing is to the local boat ramp, and you live in a relatively flat part of the country, I think you have more flexibility. Long hilly trips that exceed the rating will eventually cause issues jkeaton
