examnsz
Hello: I have 2010 sxt now has 132000km , and I will have a boat about 1200lb and tow it . I know the timing belt should be changed on 160000 km . Because I am going to use the car to tow the boat , does this way hurt the timing belt and do I need to change the timing belt early ? Thanks dhh3
bramfrank
No. There is no extra load on the timing belt whether you tow or not. Having said that, there's no harm in changing it earlier. It's certainly better than later and unless you plan to keep it to 320,000km and more this is likely to be the only belt change the vehicle will ever have. dhh3 and jkeaton
