Sorry i actually should have said plasti dip instead of paint. I used the matt black plasti dip from home depot. I didnt take the wheels off the vehicle, instead covered the disc and callipers and any area that i thought might get in contact while spraying. This is the first time i ever used a plasti dip. I am satisfied with it. dhh3

dhh3
I'll be curious to see how the Plastidip holds up on the shifter. OlDirty

I am thinking of wrapping it with carbon fibre film. I did the same for other plastic on the dash board. dhh3 and jkeaton

I was watching a video on steps and they had 4 showing and then cans of a graphite finish coat. The local Autozone has the Plastidip on the shelf but none of the graphite. My DJ is white and I was thinking maybe do the rims, grill crosshair and mirrors as an inexpensive and reversible custom project. Not really a big fan of the crosshair grill in general so black it out seems like a win to me for a different look. dhh3 and mavericks
Steve_T
Looks good, what kind of paint did you use? Also, how did you prep the rims before paint? (Info will help others looking to do the same) Cheers, Steve

VGP3331
Love this! I just got my Journey last March, and the black paint looks odd with the stock graphite rims. I'm going to plan to do this plastic dip stuff fasho!
