Marc Howell
I trial fitted my led lights to see what difference and its night and day. Just need to fit the resistor somewhere as the bloody thing get very hot. The R/H is standard, L/H is led 40w 4000Lm 6k output with a 50w 6Ohmj resistor. HugoClement
Did you change your DRL/High beam too? I was looking to switch to LED but I'm worried about the bulb not being able to switch between these two intensities.
jkeaton
Using LED's with DRL's, the bulb intensity is the same as with the high beams in. It takes much less voltage to "turn on" the LED bulb so it is on normally with the DRL's. so you are essentially driving around with your high beams on all the time. greenturtle
OhareFred
Do you get any flickering with these bulbs? I tried led high beams but with the car running the passenger side flickered so much it was distracting. I tried resisters, a replacement bulb, and switching bulb sides. Same results. Only the passenger side. Weird. I have an 09 btw...
jkeaton
Nope. Plug and play. No issues at all.
Cody Chornobey Powley
Real smart.....drive around during the day with the high beams on blast cause you want "LED". So pointless haha
OhareFred
Whos doing that? I believe the question was would leds work as drls and the op was basically told no. Did you misread! jkeaton and JohnnyRevs
jkeaton
When I went to LED's, I turned my DRL's off so I wouldn't be driving around all day blinding people. There is a certain amount of common sense that needs to be referenced when changing OEM headlight bulbs. darrenm
Nice. Bought mine on ebay and had some flickering issue so I decided to remove them.
Steven Harshbarger
Are they straight plug and play? I'd be interested in upgrading the headlights on my DJ. Although they're not bad now, i'd consider making them better.
jkeaton
Bought these and they are plug and play. No relays, no load resisters, no flickering, etc, etc. Plugged them in and they worked perfect right off the bat: https://www.amazon.com/YITAMOTOR-2pcs-Headlight-Conversion-6000K/dp/B017LW2V42/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485960786&sr=8-1&keywords=YITAMOTOR+2pcs+Cree+60W+9006+HB4+LED+Headlight+Conversion+Kit+High+Low+Beam+6000K https://www.amazon.com/YITAMOTOR-Headlight-Bulbs-8000LM-Xenon/dp/B017KC049W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485960870&sr=8-1&keywords=YITAMOTOR+2pcs+Cree+9005+HB3+LED+Headlight+Bulbs+High+Beam+80W+8000LM+Xenon+White+6000k+Fog+Light+Lamp Bought these for the fog lights. jkeaton
Links are old. No. The low and high beams use different bulbs. Bulb sizes can be found in the bulb size sticky in this section.

jkeaton
So you got a few good years out of them? Not a bad lifespan for headlight bulbs....
