PIX530
Need to change pads and rotors on 2012 R/T. According to dealer my VIN number indicated car was built in 2011 so brakes are BRF, so smaller rotor size. I discussed new Centric order with JC Whitney and they tell me that I need different rotors. Can anyone who knows this help me? http://www.jcwhitney.com/p3089801/sku-8629679.jcwx?filterid=d18617y2011g141j1 Will this fit? Any other good quality brakes recommendations? (I read all forum topics)
jkeaton
I used the middle of the road house rotors and pads from oreillys. Lasted 60,000 miles.
Ascended69
Hey man I have a 2013 and I'm wondering about the location of caliper guide pins. If/when you change your rotors could you tell me where the caliper guide pin with the rubber sleeve on it goes (top or bottom in the caliper bracket) It would be much appreciated as I've called multiple dealerships/ auto parts stores and have gotten a million and one different answers. Some say both pins have sleeves, some say none have sleeves, etc. Gl and god speed. Btw I went with wagner OE Spec ceramic brake pads, and bought Best Buy premium rotors (whole sale supplier for shops) Equivalent to raybestos/wagner rotors. http://www.bestbuydistributors.ca/ Edited September 14, 2016 by Ascended69
PIX530
I am looking so far for Centric, after reading tons of reviews. My friend recommended Acebono but they dont make rotors. I also assume it would be better to replace rotors rather than resurface them.\ So dealer insisted I need rear 305mm rotors/ while 2 online resellers already said 328mm is your size. I m lost. Front - 302mm or 330mm... Ascended69, My mechanic will do brakes job. I can ask him for sure.

PIX530
I am in the same boat with rotor size. Online store assured me 100% I need bigger size. Dealer parts dept checked by VIN, and they have no idea rather than OEM part numbers. I used these numbers on rockauto - it doesnt help a lot, but saying 2009-2013. http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5016273&jsn=246 I even called Chrysler CS and they have no idea. Ascended69
So I have a question as to why it designates it as "right" now call me stupid but I can't see why it would matter.... Both rotors are built the same 100% identical =/, unless they were slotted or something requiring the channels to be alligned in a certain direction. jkeaton
Do you have a local parts store? Get one and take it out to your car and compare.

PIX530
I am lost, As far as I dig into this, I feel more and more misunderstanding. So far I understood bigger and/or smaller rotors are both suitable. However on the forum I read, guy changed to bigger rotors together with dual piston calipers. I have single piston calipers. So it means I would need to change calipers too (
PIX530
Cont. Was able to find I have smaller rotors, check calipers - single piston. So I need to change both rotors and calipers for front. Back I am still not sure if I need calipers to change. Continue investigation. For other people Centric part numbers: pads: front - 105.15890 rear - 105.15960 Rotors: front - 120.67074 rear - 120.67075 Calipers: front right - 141.67069 front left - 141.67070
