TsJourney
Hey folks, I bought a new Journey Crossroad+ back in June, and have been lurking around this sight a bit since then. It currently has just under 5k miles on it, and garaged most nights. I've been having a problem with the front windshield. Every few days I'm having to clean the inside of it due to what seems to be a smoky buildup on it. It's noticeable after about 3 days of driving. i don't smoke, my wife does, but she's only in the car maybe once a week. It builds up even after she hasn't been in the car after i cleaned it. My last truck, an 05 Trailblazer, would do the same, but only noticeable after a month or two, which i did attribute to cigarette smoke. I've cleaned it with Windex, windshield washer fluid, and even tried cleaning wax in one spot as a test. I talked to the dealer just this week while taking it in for the recall and they didn't know what could be causing it. Any thoughts or ideas? Could the cabin filter be causing it somehow? jkeaton
It's normal on new vehicles. It's coming from the plastic dash.

jkeaton
It will get less over time. It's the fumes and stuff. That "new car smell".
