Ellen Williams
Yes my headrest on the passenger side popped open. How do you fix it. And I would like to know if there is a recall on it
larryl
you should probably contact a dealership not a forum
jkeaton
Welcome to the forum. What do you mean "popped open"? Were you in an accident where the active head restraints deployed? The owners manual describes how to reset the head restraints. There is no recall on the head restraints that I am aware of. You can check the following website for open recalls. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues Edited October 17, 2016 by jkeaton

CNote75060
My passenger side headrest deployed last week 04/02/21, with no one sitting in the seat thankfully. Based on Google and internet searches this is not an uncommon occurrence. I've posted photos of the issue. For informational purposed, I had just pulled out of my driveway and was going approximately 15 mph.

yyz
Not a recall but I did receive a letter from FCA a while back that extended the active head restraint warranty to 10 years and it covers quite a few different vehicles including the 2012-2018 Journey.I will attach the notice later. 2late4u
yyz
Pain to take a pic close enough to get the whole thing in but if anyone needs a scan let me know Edited April 16, 2021 by yyz DodgeaWrench
DodgeaWrench
Good to know. Thanks for sharing. Anyone know if the head restraint warranty extension is in effect in the USA? If this were to happen to me while driving, I'd have to change more than the headrest. Locosiete, John/Horace and Ezpeezy15 1 1
