mrwinky
Hi there I was hoping for some advice We have a 2010 Dodge Journey with remote start ( 4 button fob) our current fobs are not unlocking the doors all the time, it takes like 5-10 press to get it lock or unlock. We've replaced the batteries a few times in the past month. So now i'm looking to purchase new remotes or a solution 1. Can I reprogram my current remotes? to resync them? 2. I'm lost on which remote to order, I really don't want have to use a dealership to program it, I'm reading that with 2 working remotes I should be able to program a new one, but then some of the remotes I've read about say that 2010 and newer require a dealership. Anyone shed some advice on this? And point me to a place to get replacement remotes? (catch is i'm in Canada) Thanks in advance Winky
OhareFred
Look in the owners manual on how to rest the door lock rutine. I know on my 09 you can do it. Ive had to do it once before.
yyz
Before you go through that if there is a chance you have a voltmeter it's worth checking the battery voltage.I bought some dollar store batteries that didn't last very long and eventually bought some energizer pretty cheap on Amazon

mrwinky
Thanks for the input, the batteries I've used are from London Drugs or Shoppers the Engergizer ones in the pack. I looked through the manual and nothing on programming the door locks. Last night it took about 6 or 7 clicks from inside the house (which is 10ft from the back of the car, through the window to get it to lock the doors. Thanks Winky
