Fred
I have a 2010 dodge journey and a while ago the Dash display screen went black and nothing works. Navigation, radio, cd/dvd nothing. About once a minute there will be a thin vertical line flash on the screen. I have replaced the screen and it is still the same. Any Ideas? jkeaton
Moved to the correct section. Sounds like the radio module itself went bad. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a bit to reset everything even though you have already replaced the screen? OhareFred

Chalaco25
I have similar problems.... the only difference is my radio works but my screen display freezes. I have the nav radio and screen display separately. It freeze every time after a short period driving.... any idea? Problem with screen display ? Radio module? Or input problems? Ps.- when screen is freezed reverse camera doesn't works, only brightness screen changes telling me the signal is active but screen is freezed as picture

Jasmine Dodge Social Care Specialist I know this is an old thread, but this is exactly what my unit is doing now. It freezes and sometimes restarts and works then freezes again or just freezes and then restarts and freezes etc. I have checked my VIN and there are no updates available for my 2009 Dodge Journey SXT. This is beyond frustrating especially because it works then doesn't etc. Our vehicle has the Infinity sound system and from what I have read it is a pain in the butt to put in an aftermarket system; I believe it was something that the aftermarket decks can't power the infinity speakers or something like that. Sounds like it is time to have it replaced. Think of the screen like a laptop or a cell phone, they have a limited shelf life and if it's been used for about 10 years you're going to have performance issues or need to get a new one. jkeaton

SO no help for other readers. oh well. it could be the radio or the screen or needing new software update,or maybe just a loose connection, really the only way to know for surer is an elect. tech to check it out otherwise your just replacing parts hoping you get the bad part replaced first. after the fix PLEASE respond with what you find out Edited July 6, 2018 by 2late4u Armando G, jkeaton and Kingzee
