aussiedodgejourney
Recently new update for maps has been released (7.09) and I have been trying for two week to update current 6.22 to 7.09 without success. The flash process goes fine as per their upgrade instructions but the version still remains as 6.22. I tried different USB drives as well but it doesn't make any difference. I called local dealer from whom I bought car and they was AUD$400 to flash the maps. That is just ridiculous and I'm not going to pay or that. I called local FCA customer service and they advised to speak with delaer and after my explanation of what dealer wants to charge me, they took my details and issue I'm facing and advised to let the internal relevant people know. I don't expect any response from them as their reputation here in Aus is very bad. I've updated software before and didn't had any issue except this time and am lost as to what could be wrong or is it me doing something wrong. Please help! bramfrank
It is an update for the navigator firmware, it is not new maps. And I suspect that your dealer wants to sell you a map update. Did uConnect tell you to update the firmware? Not all radios in the later RB5 series were flagged. And did you update the underlying radio firmware to 16.21.D7 first? It doesn't bring anything significant to the table, by the way. Don't bother spending money to fix something that isn't broken. My apologies, I thought it is new version of map. 1 hour ago, bramfrank said: And I suspect that your dealer wants to sell you a map update. My VIN number showed updates and this was one of them. 1 hour ago, bramfrank said: And did you update the underlying radio firmware to 16.21.D7 first? Yes, this was updated first and it got updated successfully. 1 hour ago, bramfrank said: It doesn't bring anything significant to the table, by the way. ms187
I am having the same problem. I searched for updates online and it came up with 2 updates, one for the radio and one for the navigation system. I did the radio one fine. I tried updating the navigation firmware and it isn't working. I downloaded it to a flash drive, installed it on the car system, and it asks again if I want to update (but this time it says the current version and new version are the same, so I pushed the "no" button). I assumed this meant my update was complete, like it was when I did the first update just minutes before this. I go to the menu to look up the version number and it is still on the version that I updated the first time, but not the second updated version. The instructions online say the version should be updated, but should it be an updated version listed in the same place as when I updated the radio firmware? Is there a different location to look up what version I am running for the navigation system? P.S. None of this has to do with updated maps. I have not purchased updated maps yet. I wanted to get these updates to work before I pay a bunch of money for that.

Hi ms187, If you could send me a direct message with your VIN, I can get this over to a Uconnect Case Specialist who may be able to provide further insight. Very sorry for any trouble and hope to hear from you soon. Jasmine Dodge Social Care Specialist
larryl
You will not find a solution...read Bamfranks posts and you will understand that its a corrupt system that just gets fixed temporarily with refurbished parts until you have no warranty left...its a real nice feature while it works jkeaton
