mware85
Hello! We just traded in our '06 Jeep Commander 5.7L Limited Hemi for a 2016 Dodge Journey SXT. Have had a recurring, and unresolved, issue with the Commander since July and the dealership couldn't seem to get it figured out. I've been looking at the Journey for quite some time now and figured it was the most economical (boy the MPG difference is GREAT-we we're getting 11 in the Jeep!) and size friendly for my 3 little humans. So far it only has a little over 100 miles on it so I'm still getting used to it, but am happy thus far. I'm joining y'all so I can keep my eyes peeled for ideas for upgrades and modifications, especially since she's gonna be mine for at least 5 years. The only thing it doesn't have is the 8" screen, (they didn't have any on the lot with them or any Crossroad packages either), and that's the only thing I'm really disappointed about. I called a dealership in San Antonio a couple of days ago to inquire about that upgrade and he informed me it wasn't wired for it, so I'm under the impression I can't make that change. Super disappointed, but hoping I can find other small things I can do to her over time to make her stand out to me. Journeys are EVERYWHERE!! Looking forward to seeing what I can learn here and getting to know some other Journey owners.

Steven Harshbarger
Congrats on your new purchase. I recently acquired mine too and love it. I believe there is a path to upgrade the little screen for the 8.4" screen that isn't so hard. Do some searches here and I'm sure you'll find information regarding the topic. Welcome to the site!
