Tony Cousins
Hi there I was wondering if anybody has converted a auto into a manual and what is required. Cheers Tony
jkeaton
Nobody that I'm aware of. And just like any other swap of that kind, in addition to the transmission, pedals, shifted and linkage, you would probably need a different PCM, wiring harnesses, dealer assistance to flash other modules that may be involved. A lot of work. 2late4u
Hankster
Was there ever a journey version sold with manual shift in North America? Possibly the caliber or patriot parts would work Hank jkeaton and 2late4u
jkeaton
Yeah, it would have to be a Journey not made for the north American market. Probably the diesel Journeys came with a manual option.
Tony Cousins
In the uk we get both auto and manual options. My auto box has died so was thinking convert it. Have found out the box is a Volkswagen twin clutch unit so maybe able to replace it with another. Looking into it because finding a Dodge one is going to be hard !!
