Diana
Hi there! I'm barely 5'1 and I'm having problems with my right knee since I bought my journey back in September. I love my car but the gas pedal is awkward for me to move from the gas to the brake without it killing my knee! If I'm close enough to the gas, I'm too close to the brake. I've never experienced this with any other vehicle and it's making me think of trading it in. I really don't want to though, but I need some help to remedy this situation. I'd be SO grateful fir suggestions! This is my current solution but I need something permanent. onecrazyfoo4u
larryl
Dont think that is very wise probably dangerous- there is really not much you can do unless you know someone who can fabricate something that is permanent and legal jkeaton
jkeaton
Like you said in the post responding to another person with the same issue as you, you can buy pedal extensions. Or, learn to drive with your left foot.

probak118
A door jam wedge, I love it ! Seems like you need to make the gas pedal longer not higher from the way the wedge is placed at the bottom part of gas pedal. Will the gas padal extension do that or just raise the height ? Why not bolt some longer plate ( same width as pedal but longer) directly to the factory gas pedal ?
