grooch
I purchased a 2010 Dodge Journey and put a tow hitch on it. The wiring harness that I purchased said it was for a 2009-2010 Dodge Journey. This was a aftermarket T-connector along with the power from the battery, the wiring in the Dodge Journey could not support the extra power running through the existing wiring to power the trailer lights. The harness that you purchase from Dodge takes all the information and power from the Fuse box and battery. I am looking for a T-connector that would fit the rear light plugs on a 2010, which are different from the 2009 rear light plugs. I have run the power back to the hitch but now I can't find a t-connector. Does anybody know where I could get one?
W_A_Watson_II
The factory harness that came with my Journey does not use a t-connector or pull power from the fuew/battery. It connects between the wiring harness and lamps, and has the noise relayes. I wish I had bought he solid state version, as it would be quieter when I lock/un-lock the vehicle.
