linuxguru
Is there a setting that would automatically shut the engine of if the key fob leaves the vehicle? BrianS
Not that I know of... AFAIK, you forget to shut it off, it runs until it runs out of gas. jkeaton
jkeaton
It won't shut it off but you will get an annoying dinging sound and a message on the EVIC telling you the FOB has left the building.
bramfrank
There isn't, and for good reason. If the FOB sensor should fail while the vehicle is underway the car would shut down, potentially endangering the occupants. So if you get out of your vehicle with the engine running and you drop the FOB or someone drives away without you the vehicle will chime and post a message about the FOB not being detected or out of the vehicle to warn the driver, but it will not shut down. jkeaton
