nhez
Hello, My question is do the 2016 dodge journeys have those flaps that move out of the way when you insert the nozzle to fill up your tank with gas? The check engine light recently came on not long after I filled my car with gas. I always make sure the gas cap clicks a few times before being done. I went to OReillys for them to run a code test and got PO456. I've looked over my gas cap for any damage and resealed it. That is when I noticed the flap wasn't there but I'm not sure if my car had one in the first place or if it is actually missing now and causing the check engine light to come on. 2late4u
best place to check would be a dodge dealership lot, but i dont believe that little flap could cause a check engine light as it doesn't fit tight enough to create a seal , think you need to look for a different problem . good luck
OhareFred
Looking at the cap wont tell you anything, it needs to be tested to make sure it holds. Now where you can get this done other then the dealer I dont know. Good luck! 2late4u
