Ed Ciessau
So replaced head gasket on my 2013 Journey. Also replaced the CPS on the exhaust cam because when I removed the old one the case was cracked. Now I have 2 codes, P0016 and P0017. Autozone says both are CamShaft Position sensor errors, but when I google it, it comes up as CrankShaft Position Sensor error. So which is it?? Ed Ciessau
Also, forgot to mention I had to replace the VVT on the intake side. I read that the VVT can cause this code to be thrown. Thoughts??
Ed Ciessau
Here is an update to this condition. I replaced the exhaust side CPS but codes still present. I have fixed the code finally by redoing the torque on the crankshaft bolt. Redid it to 155, erased the codes, and problem solved. Hope this helps someone out down the road. 2late4u
