I have a dogde journey transmission prablem at time it will reach 4-5 RPM and it doesn't shift. And only way for it to stop reving is to shot off the engine and start again . But I like to know why it does it and if there a fix it .
eddiies
That almost sounds like the transmission has gone into limp mode.
jkeaton
Check engine light on? I'd get it to a shop for a diagnosis.
Grace Gonzalez
I am very disappointed with my dodge journey 2014 SXT there is a problem the check engine light comes on in yellow I when I take it to the Dodge dealership they tell me that it is this speed sensor has stopped working I need takes about 350 to 400 almost $500 to fix it was supposedly fixed the first time this is the second time it happened now two in the front wheels have gone but the first one was outside the transmission supposedly because the warranty right now is only for the transmission issues and they don't want to warrantee any labor or anything at all. The engine has trouble switching gears therefore is stalls, it sounds like iI'm driving a standard shift vehicle and I don't want to switch to gears. Anyone else having this issue? Fight, argue, email, and call Dodge until they do something about it. Three year old car should not be having all of these issues. disclaimer - unless you just don't maintain it at all or you have put a ton of miles on the car (don't know the mileage)...you never know.
